The reason I made so much money off of this fight is because casual boxing fans don't know ****. Broner had no footwork, an untested chin, one dimensional thought process & suspect power in the 147 weight class.

They argued me down at every turn until I just shut up & said put your money where your mouth is; now the casuals will hide, regroup and return as FMJ fans or another hype job like Broner. Don't get me wrong, he's a good fighter; just not a great one.

You're spot on with the footwork. He's flat footed coming forward, because he's been too used to walking down much smaller less powerful fighters and he crosses his damn feet while moving laterally. That's a very basic fundamental mistake.

There's nothing great or virtuous about Adrien Broner, so using that word in reference to him is an affront to every Greek tragedy ever written.

I disagree that this is Broner not being a welterweight. This and the Paulie fight are examples of what happens when Broner is in the ring with someone his own size.

I'd be interested to see if Floyd bet on Broner and if so how much. I knew when he was getting easily hit by Gavin Rees that he was not going to be the anointed one. Broner has a load of talent but he has terrible defense, ring IQ and supporting cast. He needs a no-nonsense type of guy like Brother ****m in his corner.

You're picking up the arc of Broner's storyline far too late. Macbeth was a tragic hero as well, and yet that play didn't spotlight any of his goodness — it came later in his storyline. If you go backward a lot farther in Broner's arc, there are elements that fit. And I also wasn't writing a five-page essay making a case that Broner fit the archetype perfectly

Dude can still easily make junior welterweight, and claims he can make lightweight. Yes, he was big on fight night, but you can tell that his body doesn't move as well in that division. I've covered Broner live several times and could see clear differences in his reaction time and foot and hand speed.

And that combined with Maidana's excellent strategy and unpredictability led to this defeat.
