This is a pretty difficult year. If you're fighting only twice, u need two very good opponents and performances to go along with them.

I'll go with Kovalev, followed closely by Rigo and Bradley.

Shouldn't level of opposition be part of the equation?

On that alone Bradley and Rigo have it over Floyd.

Honestly, how can itnot be Floyd? He fought 2 times in one year for the first time in many many years, and dominated both of the YOUNG fighters.
He beat em while their confidence were sky high and he thoroughly embarassed them. He took on Canelo when everyone in here including myself thought hed duck like pacquiao, and made the most money ever in boxing history.
And has all his fighters say hes still number 1 , marquez even scared to rematch him lmao n u know how much he loves rematches

              Adonis Stevenson.

Stopped Dawson (Ring champ), stopped IBF champ Tavoris Cloud, and stopped #6 Bellew, stopped Darnell Boone avenging defeat ...all inside 9 months.

Guerrero was a solid fight, a Top 5 WW. Canelo was THE #1 fighter at 154 after beating Trout.

So he had one solid win, another very good win.

Rigo fought Donaire, who was Top 10 P4P hands down, and was a HUGE win. But Agbeko.....that wasn't a good fight, he hadn't done jack since 2011 and was basically irrelevant.

Bradley did beat Marquez, who was Top 10 P4P as well, and he did beat Provonikov, though he nearly and arguably lost to Provonikov as well.

Floyd lost maybe like 3 rounds out of 24 this year.

Lara knocked out Angulo and nearly shut out Trout, he should be considered over some of the guys on that list.

I will go with Floyd Mayweather because you don't beat getting two Ring titles in the same year in two different weight classes. Just an incredible feat that has been done only by Henry Armstrong I think.
