Rigo wasn't even a choice in ring magazines fans fighter of the year.

They had 9 choices.

Rigo beat donaire, who won the award in 2012.

I don't know if I'm remembering this correctly; but I seem to recall that Ring didn't list Rigo in their top-ten P4P list, even after he beat Donaire. Just because the Ring didn't acknowledge "El Chacal" doesn't mean he doesn't deserve consideration.

Someone can easily write a story on boxingscene fans fighter of the year and I'm sure Rick Reeno would consider posting it on the site if it's well-written.

It's not that difficult. I wrote a story about a UK card a while back and
Rick Reeno posted it.

In my opinion, he's not boring.

Ward and Hopkins are boring, and even my favorite fighter Wladimir Klitschko in his last fight was boring.

But Rigondeaux is highly skilled and doesn't need to resort to illegal tactics to win, for me that's NOT boring.

Too much clinching is boring, in my opinion. There's a time and place for it, but not when it consumes entire sections of a fight. Rigo, being a counterpuncher, just hangs back a little too much sometimes; but I don't find him boring in general.
