Broner did show me a few things that we didn't know before.

He can tie up.

He has a good chin, not great but can take a sustained beating but can still be badly hurt.

Two things we didn't know before.

This fight answered all questions.

Broner's one dimensional, not very good defensively, has very limited Ring IQ, and has decent power at best.

Broner's biggest problem is he does not control range behind the shell. Maidana kept looping his shots around the guard and hit Broner on the sides and top of his head.

The Philly shell is only a defensive base, it requires good reflexes and legs along with it. Floyd is fantastic at it, but he uses way more than the shell. He also uses lateral movement and superb upper body movement along with it.
