They count as title defences not as Championship defences, he didn't become Champion until Chagaev.
Unless I'm missing something, Chagaev was the WBA Title holder, not WBC.

Vitali won his off of Samuel Peter.

He was rated #3 behind Wlad and Vitali. Wlad becoming lineal was against #3 Chageav. I'm telling you they haven't beat a #1 or #2 rated.

Eh? I'm talking about the highlighted part about not defending for years, like Vitali with the WBC.

            By whom?

Alexander had a fake title for a while, so to me he was at best a #1 contender at the time Wlad defeated him. With that said, I look forward to Wlad facing Alex Leapai next year.

Then you're gonna have to make more coherent sentences, not shortened text speak, as I thought you interlinked Chagaev and Vitali.

Think of all the outrage when both would be getting 50 million each & aren't putting everything into there right hands to take the other down.... & the pressure would be enormous for them to go all out & not just an exhibition or sparring match.. they ARE NOT used to hitting each other with full force & never will be & that's what the public would demand if they would ever face each other in the ring.. personally I think it's wrong for any pair of siblings to try to harm the other.. esp when you consider these two brothers happen to be the absolute two strongest boxers in the world at the same time.. it's a no win situation for everyone involved.

Oh so that clever loophole. Because the brothers are the clear #1 and #2 in the division, they can never fight the # 1 guy unless it's against each other or one of them loses.

                  Good one.

Azzinine statement of the year... not even a prime George is guaranteed to take any version of Vitali down.. so what makes you a think a 60 yr old George downs a 42 yr old Vitali.

Vitali was retired for 4 years, Wlad never did it. Neither did when they were coming up. Don't act like they didn't have the chance.
