I don't think he's extremely quick or slick. Good boxer with huge power, not dissimilar to Kovalev, Matthysse, Thurman amongst others.

I haven't seen much of Fonfara in fact just his fight with Campillo & I wasn't impressed. Has he been dropped recently? I see he was knocked down & stopped but that was years back and he must of only been 19 so I am not sure how much stock you can put into that.
Fonfara was being beat to the punch pretty much every time by Campillo until he broke down in the ninth.
He got KO'd by Mr. Journeyman Derrick Findley (20 years old)
Was also getting beat by Kaprency and didn't look as impressive as his win against Glenn Johnson suggests.
Dude also got busted for roids before.

the KO when he was 20 aside though, shown to be very very hittable. Only difference if he fought Kovalev instead of Stevenson is he'd get KO'd faster.
Fonfara's got a punchers chance because he does hit fairly hard

That's probably the excuse they used, but it wasn't really that kind of fight or KO. He just got caught right in the middle of an exchange with the same right left combination he still throws with a perfect counter right and he was done for the ten count. It was at the start when he was still sharp and any major lack of training wouldn't have shown up until later. It was the type of shot that he'd get caught with no matter how good his training.

I'm unsure whether it was because he is vulnerable and it hasn't shown up that much yet or if Boone is just a tricky guy that's able to land unexpected shots at unexpected times. I lean much more toward the latter though. He's been able to hurt and drop a lot of good fighters. It's just happened that the shot he hit Stevenson with was an exceptional one.

He was an underdog against Dawson but a big fav against Cloud and Bellew

If he fought Kovalev, it would show his real stuff but he wont, so i guess you think he's better then he thinks he is
