Why is Stevenson so underrated?

Well I'm not impressed and his offense is too one dimensional for me, eventually he'll get exposed for it. Yes he set Bellew up nicely towards the end but he looked real amateurish looking for the same punch every time and continuously missing, that showed how limited he is. Not impressed with his resume nor Kovalev's for that matter which is why they should fight each other.Comment

Not underrated, just people who would rather see Kovalev be considered the best at 175 for OTHER REASONS that has absolutely nothing to do with boxing to be honest
Stevenson is extremely SLICK and QUICK all that to go with his Power, I think he Out-Boxes Kovalev and I think he does it convincingly! This is based off purely what I seen from both IN THE RING. Both are good fighters though!
Reminds me of Danny Garcia vs Lucas Matthysse all over again, remember how people thought Matthysse was just going to DESTROY Garcia and knock him out? LMFAO It is the same thing with Stevenson but just like Garcia I think Stevenson uses his Boxing Skills and frustrate Kovalev and you will have Kovalev fans after the fight b1tching about how "STEVENSON RAN"Comment

I don't feel he is one dimensional. Hes fought different in all his recent fights and shown a lot of growth.
Quite a few was picking Cloud.
I've never been able to find the first Boone fight but he decked Kovalev & WardComment

As for Boone, Boone is one of the better gatekeepers around. Always fighting on short notice and heard he got shafted in his last fight against an undefeated fighter, knocking the dude down twice.
As for Stevenson, even though I think he should be FOTY, only fight i've been impressed with this year is Dawson.
Hell, even if he does fight Fonfara, wouldn't be surprised if he knocks Fonfara out. Fonfara can punch, but can be outboxed, very open and is pretty damn chinny.
Fonfara would've been KO'd in either the Kovalev or Stevenson fight, only difference is he has a better chance of winning against StevensonComment

I read somewhere that Stevenson was going through a lot of legal troubles and took the fight with Boone on a few days notice.
I haven't seen much of Fonfara in fact just his fight with Campillo & I wasn't impressed. Has he been dropped recently? I see he was knocked down & stopped but that was years back and he must of only been 19 so I am not sure how much stock you can put into that.Comment

Is it because of his past?
I've felt this guy has been underrated for a few years now and I still feel at 36 or whatever, hes getting better!
I think he beats Froch (Hes a better southpaw version of Groves IMO) I have no doubt he stops B-Hop. I think Kovalev is a toss up but its like no matter how many times people pick him against him and he proves them wrong they just won't give him any respect.
Dawson kills him.
Cloud is going break him in half.
Bellew is going to outbox him.
It just goes on & on.
You throw enough darts, you'll hit the bullseye eventually.
I think he deserves some credit, especially from a lot who keep getting proven wrong by him.Comment
