Arguably 2-0 and undefeated overall. I wouldn't pick him against Marquez, but I wouldn't write him off either.

If Provodnikov vs Marquez happens everything is guna be stacked against Marquez. He's guna be closer to age 41 or already at age 41 by the time the fight happens, he is far from a natural Welterweight or Light Welterweight in fact his best days were at featherweight and super featherweight. He's slower, has less power, less spring in his legs, and his reflexes aren't what they used to be. Marquez is basically guna have to hope that he is able to fend off a mini bulldozer who is young, stronger than anyone he's ever faced, is a true junior welterweight who can easily move up to welterweight, is in his prime, and keeps coming and throwing punches virtually every minute of every round. I don't see Marquez being able to neutralize Provodnikov under these circumstances and at this stage of his career. If Marquez were 30 and both guys happened to be featherweights, a guy like Provodnikov would pose no threat to Marquez and we all know why, but in this reality I would see Provodnikov TKOing Marquez after hitting him with some really brutal blows.

Provo is no joke but his not in the same ballpark as Marquez. Would be a hell of a fight but Marquez puts the beating on Provo eventually stopping him in round 9 or 10

I think you're hyping him a little too much.

Marquez should retire already. He can no longer beat bradley, if there's rematch he will even look more sillier this time around. Also, for his sake he better not give pacquiao a rematch because HE IS NOT GOING TO GET A WIN WITH THIS NEW TYPE OF OUT POINTING; SEMI-CAREFUL TYPE OF PAQUIAO. The result will be unanimous decision all the way at worst split decision. So since provo is too dangerous for him at this stage. And besides pacquiao and bradley; whom he can never beat anyway if rematch is made. The rest will be non-meaningful at this stage of his career. Time to surrender to father time and relax a bit with your family.

Provo would probably go to Mexico and give Marquez the majority of the money.
                      doubt the fight happens though
