    My two cents

That's where the term warrior comes from. If someone handled you and you are a warrior at heart; you would want revenge against said person. Ruslan isn't a boxer/puncher. He is a brawler/slugger with a warriors mentality.

Marquez no want fight Provodnikov. Marquez no want rematch for Pacquiao, he want keep feeling. Marquez want rematch with Bradley, but Bradley want keep feeling, so Marquez retired.

And you'll have a few more fights as a quasi TR fighter that Arum uses to manufacture can't miss action fights with the Alvarado and Rios types. Soon enough the wars will take their toll. Then its back to ESPN getting outclassed by the Maurico Herrera types.
          A dismal analysis, but true.

It's the same reason Broner won't fight Mayweather or Ward won't push for a Bhop fight.. It's called respect.

I don't agree with this, though: "(Provo is) tailor-made for Pac. Pac beats him easy and eases closer to re-establishing his aura."

I don't think so. I think Provo can beat Pac. Rios was a useless motionless, super-slow and timid punching bag. Provo is relentless, he won't be timid at all, he can take 10 shots in order to land 5 and he doesn't care, and Pac isn't getting any younger at all. His hands have still lots of speed, but his legs are nowhere near what they were when he was younger, so Provo will have no trouble cutting the ring off and landing punches on him.

Bottom line: Provo is no Rios. Provo can actually knock Pac out and send him to retirement, so both Arum and Roach want to prevent this, and keep both their fighters "in circulation and healthy" until Pac retires and Provo is their new star. A fight between their two stars is a lose-lose situation for both Arum and Roach, because there would have to be a loser.

No..... there's an interview out there someone in ruslan's camp talks about manny sparring ruslan before his fight with rios. even ruslan's russian friend admits that manny was dominating the sparring.

Pacquiao will not fight provo, if it happens pacquiao will beat him easily. maybe even more easily than rios. You're right rios was able to go the full 12 because he didn't exchange and shelled up. his only hope was to land one big bomb to KO pac, it didn't happen. look at the bradley fight, ruslan runs out of gas in the mid rounds and bradley starts teeing off. he can eat 400 punches from bradley, but not 400 punches from pacquiao. that night will end very very badly for ruslan.

Bradley and JMM have a much better chance of beating pacquiao

If I were Marquez, I definitely wouldn't take this fight at this point.

Yeah, as a Marquez fan I would like to see him retire, he has nothing left to prove and doesn't need to risk getting hurt. Provo is a beast, I want to see him get another shot at Bradley, I think he can take him out this time.

I agree with you. But at the same time if he can't get the Bradley rematch, it might be a way to go out in a blaze of glory.
