    The vast majority picked Broner.

Rightfully so because DeMarco is not very good. He was a logical fight as he was the #1 at Lightweight but nothing more than decent. You'd have to be a real idiot to think DeMarco would knock out Broner. The guy isn't even a hard puncher.
I think DeMarco is decent enough. He was a good win I felt for Broner. I really wanted Broner to fight Burns and/or Abril before leaving 135 though. Burns didn't want it, but I felt Broner could have fought Abril rather than Rees in February. DeMarco at least had beaten Linares and Molina. But I agree, not a world beater by any means, but I think DeMarco is a decent fighter.

What's funny about this fight is that Maidana isn't even technically in the Top 10 at 147 right now, but it's far and away Broner's best fight so far.

If Broner is going to follow in the line of Floyd or Ward though, meaning the next GREAT American fighters, he will out class Maidana and win 10-11 rounds making it look easy, or will stop him.

I don't see him doing either.

Crazy really considering Brook is #4 by doing nothing and Maidana has 2 solid WW wins over Karass and Lopez.

He was Top 10 when the fight was signed but obviously since Porter upset Alexander it's pushed him out.

Why on Earth is Brook so high? The Ring's divisional rankings are good for the most part but like always, some serious blunders.

After the Porter upset, Brook needs to go off. Here's mine.

          CHAMP: Mayweather
          1. Bradley
          2. Marquez
          3. Pacquiao
          4. Porter
          5. Guerrero
          6. Broner
          7. Alexander
          8. Maidana
          9. Malignaggi
          10. Thurman

I'd still put Devon ahead of Maidana based on what happened H2H.

On a side note, if Maidana upsets Broner, could Floyd fight Maidana in May??? He'd have wins over Soto Karass who beat Aydin, Berto, and deserved a W over Jones when he was seen as decent. He'd also have wins over Lopez who beat Ortiz at 147, and Broner who's seen as a a really good fighter. I think given Danny Garcia seeming uninterested in the fight for May, it could happen if Maidana upsets Broner. Plus Floyd would be unifying titles.

I'd rather that over Khan, then again Khan beat Maidana

            I think Khan's a done deal though.

We're still learning about Broner but based on what he's shown us so far Maidana should indeed be a difficult test for him.
