Stylistically he plays into the hands of what Broner does well, so granted AB is focused and on his A-Game I think we're gunna see a glimpse of the power of his potential on Saturday. IF Broner loses tho it will most definitely be by a stoppage cause Marcos also has a decent to good chance of knock Broners block off!
I thought DeMarco was already his coming out party....at least it was viewed as one a year ago.

I think it could be his coming out party at the higher weights, but I still have my reservations about Broner. He seems unable to adapt if Plan A doesn't work.

DeMarco wasn't his coming out party.

Pauli should have been his coming out party, Gatti moment, but he ****ed that up.

I guess he has another shot this weekend.

A lot of people, probably like 40% around here at least, picked DeMarco to win and "stop the Broner hype train".

He beat his ass, I thought it was his coming out party for the lower weights. Maidana could be a coming out party as a top tier Welterweight fighter.

No way did 40% of people pick DeMarco. There were some people but it was far from a 50-50 or close to it.

DeMarco's simply not that good, decent fighter at very best. Does nothing well, solid boxer with little power and tough.

The Pauli fight was his time to show us what he's capable of. And he's got another chance this weekend against by far the best fighter he's fought.

Maidana's the perfect opponent for him to look good against, if he's good enough.

Pretty sure just prior to the fight, there was a poll where 17 picked DeMarco and like 30 picked Broner. I mean, no 50-50, but probably 30-40% thought DeMarco would upset him or give him problems. He did neither.

I do agree if Broner is the goods, he will dominate Maidana. Not many dominate Maidana at all, only really Devon Alexander did. But Devon is of course not the "goods" given he lost to Porter, but perhaps Porter is better than I initially thought. Anyways, I still have concerns about Broner being able to adapt if Plan A doesn't work, and I don't know if his footwork is good enough like a Mayweather, so that he can use movement when he's not walking down beating up on guys. Those things, and his work rate is incredibly low against Paulie. We'll see.

I don't think showing a poll with less than 50 total votes shows anything.

Poll's don't show anything in general even when they have 500 votes because there's plenty who don't even vote in the poll. I never vote in polls.

There were not many picking DeMarco. The guy is not very good at all. Solid at best and at very best.

Alexander has the ability to tie up, something Broner's not shown me. I don't think I recall a single time he'd tied his opponent up.

If Broner doesn't completely dominate the fight it just shows to me that he's not that guy. That he thinks he is and people think he is.

I don't expect him to dominate the fight.

                  I don't either. I expect a 116-112 type of decision for Broner.

Idk, I remember reading tons of people saying if Broner beats this guy, he's pretty good. Or stuff like DeMarco can stop and end the Broner hype. I think 3 out of 10 posting here did at least.

The only people I recall are people like Maniac and Mathed and people who strongly dislike Broner.

                    The vast majority picked Broner.

Rightfully so because DeMarco is not very good. He was a logical fight as he was the #1 at Lightweight but nothing more than decent. You'd have to be a real idiot to think DeMarco would knock out Broner. The guy isn't even a hard puncher.

Broner takes this one. At the end of the day we have to realize hes fighting at WW. I see Broner taking a UD and busting up Maidana pretty good. 116-112.
