Why should Floyd care about who you want him to fight?

Because Floyd has no legacy if he has no fans. If you have no fans, you will not be remembered.
Floyd should do everything rationally possible to fight Pacquiao and appease not only his fans but his detractors.
He should come up with a fair split, and a complete/final offer package and lay it on the table for Pac. If for whatever reason Pac denies Floyd should expose this to the media. The fact that Floyd hasn't done this obviously shows Floyd is a bit shook about the fight.
I for one think Floyd would win the fight, but obviously Pac poses a threat to Floyd with his speed and power. The fans want it, make it happen.

Floyd gets an awful lot of respect and credit for his boxing everywhere...and rightly so.
But because of his terrible child-like attitude and obnoxious character and general loud mouth ignorance, he gets criticised....and rightly so.
He tends to only see the negative, and moans about it like a twat, which only creates more criticism. He's too ****** to understand that.
I thought his performances against Guerrero and Canelo were sublime. Dull but perfect.
But he was a big favourite in both, and he did what was expected of him. Cong**** Floyd...bravo.
What stunning trick is he going to pull out of his sleeve next? Some smack talk maybe? Bravo!

Floyd is obviously a defensive type of person, probably due to the persona he has taken in boxing. Since he is not humble about his accomplishments people tend to for whatever reason create a personal agenda against Floyd. Having so many people against you can make any one self conscious and I believe plays a huge role in how Floyd presents himself in interviews etc.
I think that's why Floyd whines a lot, I truly believe that what once started as the villain role for FMJ, is truly what he has grown into. The hate he received for playing this role probably cemented it as he saw what he probably perceived as people's "true opinions" about him.
I'm no psychologist but this is what I could see it as.
