Its a real shame because manny is one of the good guys in the sport. a real credit to the profession but like most boxers he let himself be used by others.

i cant think of any other sport so corrupt that this happens to the participants. it shows how backward our sport is and how its still the wild-west around here.

Messed up alright. Obviously a lot of it comes down to the fighters themselves, but when something happens over and over again it's a systemic problem and not just about the individuals.

It's the nature of boxing though. Everyone's putting their hand in someone else's pocket.

Pacfans are idiots, but unlike his fans, Manny seems like an ok guy...granted, I don't know him myself, but he seems that way.

It is odd that a guy who doesn't seem to show a hostile attitude and seems to have a kind spirit and down to earth has such followers that are ignorant, trash talking catfish...I am sure Manny would pray that these people change their attitudes and focus on what is positive.

Manny should have left Arum like Mayweather did-he could have been a financial success.Instead, as early as a few years ago it was mentioned that Pac had major financial problems and has had to borrow sums of money from his pimp Bob Arum...I hope Manny has some cash buried away like Cousin Eddie from Las Vegas vacation!

How exactly is Manny a good guy? He cheated on his wife, is involved in all sorts of shady political s hit, held back PEDs testing, etc. and has set a poor example for other successful boxers with financial decisions. Floyd is not a good guy. I am not claiming that. But Floyd is very inspirational for setting a business model up that is helping get rid of the broke fighter getting jobbed by the promoter paradigm.

Nobody is perfect man. Yes he turned down drug testing-which is a major red flag to me. People see it for what it is-a possible cheat.
It doesn't mean you cannot feel bad for a guy who has tried to help put boxing on the big stage...
I was always raised to not kick a man when he is down (even though I may make a joke in good fun on occasion).

TBH-I think Manny and Floyd have a lot of similarities-they are both gamblers, both harmed and betrayed their loved ones, etc...throughout boxing history there have been these types-not many are personas to morally idolize.

                • Man I feel bad for Pacquiao but I think this is what it will take for Pacquiao to leave Arum. Arum was salavating when he saw how gullible Pacquiao was even when he was with that promoter with that huge gap teeth that screw over manny before he signed with Gary Shaw.

This will total backfire on bob arum and top rank,, arent they the ones that take the taxes out of his purse, and pay the IRS,,, Didnt arum just say this when the phillipine tax thing came to light,,

I think bob has been pocketing the tax money, and now manny is in deep ****, but in the end so is bob
That's what I thought Arum said. And after Visionquest, Top Rank handled all of Manny's finances to "bring order in" or some ****, clearly they're not helping Manny at all.
