Sturm will (continue to) do anything in his power to avoid Golovkin so this is certainly a fight that could be made.

But frankly what I really want is Sturm-GGG.

I would rather see Golovkin-Martinez, Sturm-Quillin, persomally. (When it comes to titlists)


There's a hell of a lot of barriers and who knows if we see it happen, but on paper... There's quite a few nice matchups that can be made at 160

As a fan I can absolutely understand what you are saying and it's not like I disagree with you, but Sturms blatant ducking of GGG for years pizzed me off.

Same here. And before that, he blatantly ducked Abraham. Sturm simply isn't going to fight a skilled opponent with a big punch, so you can forget Kid Chocolate (and Martinez, for that matter) too. I guess getting KO'd by that 38-year-old junior middleweight from Spain (Castillejo) back in 2006 made Sturm gun shy

No, Sturm won. Macklin's punches were landing on Sturm's gloves. Sturm's counters were landing accurately on Macklin's face. It was the correct decision. Sturm won.
