Cliff put out the additions to the list and STevensen is on them so yes I was wrong.
And they also influenced prov, Stevenson, rigo, kobalev and Bradley as well right? All HBO fighters

I find this selection good enough.
Except that the FOY is Adonis Stevenson

I don't think so, it was even.

        Vasquez Jr.- a nobody
        Nishioka- a fossil
        Mathebula- never heard of him
        Arce- completely shot.

His best win was over Nishioka, and Nishioka was on his way out and hadn't fought in a year. He struggled big time with Mathebula.

Donaire beat four top 10 opponents, three world champs he deserved it.

Donaire: Respect has to be given to this man for taking four good fights in 2012, three of which were against legitimate world champions in his weight class (super bantamweight). Jeffrey Mathebula was officially the reigning IBF champ, Toshiaki Nishioka was a stripped WBC champ (and most proven world title holder in the division), and Jorge Arce was the last WBO champion before Donaire picked up the vacant title against Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. All of those fights happened in 2012. All of the opponents were legitimate top 10 rated fighters.
I guess they're bums tho because they're foreign. Should have given it to a roided Marquez or Guerrero for beating Berto.

Because Bradley, Garcia, mayweather only fought twice, [B]although against worthy opponents.

Kovalev, GGG and Stevenson fought 4 times, although [B]against somewhat lower level opposition.
This isn't right. Dawson is better than Canelo, Campillo was similar to Matthysse in that he should've been unified champ.

IDK. I just know that stevenson deserves the award far more than GGG and I wouldn't be surprised if HBO used their influence behind the scenes to push him rather than stevenson.

The fact that Adonis had to be added after the list was announced is interersting.

Maybe. But the fact that he stated that he is not fighting Kovalev changed my mind a little.

All those guys were relevant at 122, and two held belts. Other than Macklin, Golovkin fought no one relevant at 160. Not his fault, but in this conversation we can't give him extra credit for guys ducking him.

Bull****. It's Rigondeaux or Bradley. Stevenson's year was debatable whether it was even better than Kovalev's.

I don't entirely disagree. If I had to choose between Stevenson or Kovalev, I would go with Kovalev simply because he has 2 big wins, and Stevenson has 1. Kovalev's wins against Campillo and Cleverly are better than Stevensons wins against Bellew and Cloud.

Kovalev beat Campillo (Who got clearly robbed against Cloud) and he beat Cleverly (who was undefeated WBO champ who beat Bellew). Stevenson beat Dawson to win the titles, but he was coming off a brutal loss to Ward. Still, beating Dawson is a big accomplishment.

Personally I would go with Tim Bradley. Because I think Marquez is the best opponent anyones faced this year. Bradley also beat Provodnikov, who just earned a title which should increase his stock even more.

Its gotta be Stevenson or Kovalev but Im going with Stevenson. Dude put in some great work this year. GGG did his thing, but Rosado and Ishida were true 154lbs at the time. Macklin was a good fight but Curtis Stevens...meh. Gotta go with Stevenson

***I forgot to mention, no one wants to get Good Boy'd, so its not GGG fault. He beats who you put in front of him
