This weekend we witnessed the Mayweather effect

Floyd moved up weight classes cause he had the fkin body for it! Rigo turned pro in his late 20s dude. So idk why y'all keep trying to make this argument. It's not that Rigo moved up in weight, is that he's already fighting bigger guys at 122. So how imagine how much bigger these guys will be at 126-130. Skills can only get you so far. This is boxing and one punch can change everything. Rigo is good but not invincible.Originally posted by -MAKAVELLI-Quote:

Cordoba was bigger, Teon Kennedy and Marroquin are both at 126+ and so is Donaire. Even Ramos been at 126 and Rigo toyed with those dudes. Agbeko is much bigger but fought like a p*ssy.

he's moved up what? 1 weight class? yea...real giant slayer there...give me a ****ing break...Floyd moved up 3-4 weight classes before he stopped dropping fools
but ok, Rigo > Floyd...happy?
Rigo is not gonna become an ATG. So I rather he becomes one of the best if not the best of all time in his weight class. If Rigo moves up and starts cherrypicking opponents cause of his deficiency in size then he'll get the Mayweather criticism as well so fk it.

You also got the wrong idea Mak. This isn't about criticizing Floyd or saying Rigo is better. Read my reply to PBP.

PBP is the only unbiased Floyd fan I know. Seriously.Ehh. Not comparable.
Rigo was a bantamweight at age 20, Floyd was a super featherweight at age 20. Floyd's frame allowed his body to grow into the welterweight division whereas Rigo's frame doesn't. People grow differently. Floyd can't fight at 130, 135 and probably not 140 at his current age. Rigo can probably still make 118 at his.
Rigo doesn't even rehydrate to the featherweight limit. Him fighting at 126 is the equivalent of Floyd fighting at 154. (He doesn't even rehydrate to the 154 limit).
As far as Agbeko, Floyd can choose his opponent, Rigo can't. And when you look at other candidates for fighter of the year:
Garcia beat Judah
Adonis beat Boone, Bellew and Cloud
Kovalev beat Campillo, White and Cleverly
Agbeko is at least on the level of those opponents.

I could give two ****s if he headlines or not. I don't put too much emphasis on that. As long as he's active I don't care.Originally posted by kiaba360Quote:

They're all inferior to Donaire. Rigo already beat him so these are match ups he gets a pass for cause he already beat the best.

It's not a fight that you want to watch if you're already tired, that's for sure.
Hopefully Rigo keeps active and fight Avalos as the HBO co-main or on a PPV under-card. His match-ups are just not competitive enough to put him as the main event.

Taking steroids and HGH would allow your body to grow it seem's Mayweather has more testosterone at age 36 than he did is his 20's strange if you ask meEhh. Not comparable.
