I don't think 'Fat Yanks' give a **** about what you like to watch. In fact I think they'd like to see you take a flying **** through a rolling donut.

There's a lot of conjecture here based on one relatively small facet of boxing. Power is generally based on technique and correct punching form; Malignaggi, in addition to having brittle hands, has poor technique with regards to how he delivers his punches.

A fighter with genuinely good footwork doesn't find himself closed down as consistently and often as Malignaggi is, nor does he find himself in range to be hit as often as Malignaggi is, either.

See the likes of Miguel Canto and Sumbu Kalambay for light hitting, but high quality ring technicians. Hell, even Cory Spinks was a much better boxer than Malignaggi ever was.

i hate speculating but judah acted like a boxer that was forced to throw the fight. sort of like in the lamotta movie except zab wasnt getting hit by a power puncher. when he was sitting on the stool and everyone was yelling at him he just smiled like a real dorky cornpone black hillbillie. man he was pathetic. i think they should withhold his share of the purse.

Whatever the reason why pauli doesnt have power is besides the point,,,

If he had any type of power he would be hell to deal with,, he already has had a good career, but i think with power he would have done much better.
Guys like khan and hatton wouldnt have been able to walk him down with such ease,,

Spinks is not that greater of a fighter than pauli,, Spinks was a very good soutpaw and is slightly better at the fundamentals, but pauli has much better chin, heart, and jab IMO

Give pauli power and he would have had a much better career, and at his peak 06-11 probably would have made some p4p lists

To think pauli would have the same career with power is nonsense,,,,

Im not saying he has to hit like hearns,,, but if he had decent power like floyd, or jmm he would have had a much better career,,

Hell if he had power he might have beaten cotto in 06, he tagged cotto all day but couldnt do any damage and cotto walked him down and beat him up because pauli couldnt keep him off with his lack of power

Paulie earned respect years ago in my eyes. And it's ridiculous for some people to criticize him, and I even read that someone said he should have chosen another career. That's just ridiculous. The man is a two weight world champion. How can anyone tell him he should have done something else? Look at the success he's had. The fact that Paulie has done what he's done with hardly any power is incredible. Him and his opponent know that he's outgunned, and he still pulls it off. He's smart, crafty, skilled and as tough as they come. Man if he had power, he'd be at the top.

              I admire that.
Same here. Paulie is a good guy

His tactics are awesome but he has no power, I wouldn't be afraid at all to box against him.

If a guy can't hurt anyone he has no business in the hurt business, honestly I want to see Paulie get beat his next fight so they won't waste tv time on him. The over all package he brings is just not suspenseful enough regardless of how onesided he wins on the cards, no one cares just like Carlos Molina no one would care if he won every fight he had the rest of his career its just awful stuff to watch.

It's no less than nonsensical than thinking it's the only thing that prevented Malignaggi from reaching elite level status. Never mind the fact that he's so one dimensional, has no defense, poor punching form, has no variety in his offense, doesn't know how to control distance well and has crap footwork.

To think he would have been "up there" with Marquez is beyond a joke. Marquez has his flaws but his timing, the sheer quality and diversity of his offense, and the manner in which he executes his attack is on a whole different galaxy to Malignaggi. There's a very good reason why Marquez does the damage that he does with his punches (cue the PED references) and it isn't because he was simply blessed with power.

Ya know, it's one thing to credit him for beating a paper champion in Lovemore Ndou, but Senchenko as well? Sorry, gotta draw the line at some point.
