Mayweather needs to fight Lara..Bottom line..

They stil lost by wide margins. Its as if you are basing "problems" on small stretches of these fights that didn't affect the overall outcome of the fight. They didn't initiate and had very good success then they started leading and Judah started to gas and slow he got picked apart. They had as good as success against Floyd as almost anybody until they gave up their southpaw advantage.
Floyd has never looked his usual 'unbeatable' self when faced with a southpaw counterpuncher hence why he avoids them so much. He isn't as comfortable facing them. He prefers slow flat-footed guys who will go to him or remain static and throw volume
Lara isn't an aggressive, one handed southpaw like Guererro or Ortiz. He has everything stylistically to not only give Floyd hell but potentially beat him.
I don't care who you are you don't want to get in a chessmatch with an elite Cuban.
The fights floyd has his most problems in are not so much lefties as they are the first time he fights at the weight. Corley, like Castillo, was floyd's 1st fight at that weight. Perhaps that played as much a role in the "problems" as the style. Judah was the 1st or 2nd fight at 147. ODH, his 1st at 154.
I agree that Lara has the attributes to give floyd a tough fight and very well could beat him. I just think the notion floyd has "problems" with southpaws has been exaggerated.Comment

Lara loses to Floyd.
Bradley loses to Floyd.
Khan loses to Floyd.
Maidana loses to Floyd.
Pacquiao loses to Floyd.
I mean really what is the argument for? They ALL lose spare me the 2 minutes out of 36 where Lara "troubles" him. Fucc outta here man.

Its funny. They say he should fight pure boxers but back in 06 when he was rumoured to fight Cory Spinks at 154.
NOT ONE PERSON ON THIS SITE WANTED TO SEE IT. FACT.
Thats why I laughed when Trout was "the guy" and Im laughing now that Lara is "the guy". Jokes bro.
Cong**** on that title. My wolverines stuck in the mud right now.Comment

lara dominated trout, i see what you're saying but i have hard time writing off someone like lara against another boxer. floyd probably beats him but i guarantee its not a white washIts funny. They say he should fight pure boxers but back in 06 when he was rumoured to fight Cory Spinks at 154.

He certainly has the power advantage.Does he have the power advantage? I'm not so sure
He does have a 3 inch reach advantage and a 1 inch height advantage
And it the more natural 154 pound fighter
I just don't see anything from him that makes me think he could beat Floyd
Did you enjoy Lara-Trout?
I can appreciate the technical aspects of any fight, but lets not act like that was a fight of the year candidate. Neither was Mayweather-Canelo
My point was that Lara can be outboxed. No triangle theory. We've seen he can be outboxed. We've never seen anyone outbox Floyd and those that have tried have failed miserably. I think Lara does a bit better than most due to size but who doesn't have a size advantage on Floyd?
I did enjoy Lara vs Trout, yes.
We haven't seen Lara ouboxed. Molina didn't outbox Lara, even if you think he beat Lara (I don't think he did), it was by spoiling, not outboxing.
But whatever, you're entitled to your opinion.Comment

Just because you think Mayweather wins every fight ever in history doesn't mean that certain fights aren't more compelling and clearly better than others you shameless arse licking cretin.Comment

Anyways, FSU back! I silently rooted for MU this season since one of my kids plays there but Gardner just didn't play well last season. But I was happy to see Jehu Chesson eventually start, now I'm hoping he gets more passes thrown his way this season.Comment
