Ok this thread has descended into the usual "Floyd is ducking flavor of the month" crap. Sad part is most of u don't even wanna see this fight. They just want to use it as an excuse to say Floyd is ducking because they know it won't happen. Like I said before, Lara hasn't proven anything to make this a "must" fight. He's had some good performances and some ****ty ones and at least one where he probably lost. that puts him in contention for a Floyd fight, but it absolutely doesn't put him in the top of the list. He hasn't earned that. Only one who has in the Gbp stable is Garcia at 140.

I want to see this fight. If Canela steps up, Lara is gonna school and lay Canela out. It would make sense at that point because Floyd if i'm not mistaken has the RING jr middle belt? He just completely schooled Trout. If he beats Alvarez dominantly like I know he will, what else would he have to do to get a Floyd fight?

U got me wrong. I have nothing at all against this fight. Good fight. But there are a bunch of good fights for Floyd. And this is just another one. Now if Lara went on to beat Canelo and Molina, this would be the fight at 154 for Floyd. Thing is Floyd would fight the cotto/ Martinez winner before ever considering Lara. And that's a much better fight anyways.
