I'm not saying Floyd shouldn't fight Lara. I would like to see it and have no objection to it. What I'm saying is both Lara and Canelo campaign at 154 pounds and it doesn't make sense for them not to fight. It makes even more sense than Mayweather because it has been clear for years that Mayweather only fights there for big PPV events.

He wanted to win his title back. His options at belts were Floyd (WBA Super/WBC), Molina (IBF), Andrade (WBO) and Lara (vacant WBA regular).

Lara was the best opportunity for a title. He's not getting a shot at Floyd, Molina is equally as dangerous and Andrade is with Banner who only works with HBO.
