yea but I don't know if you seen in the other thread a bunch of people were already hating on Smoger saying his stoppage was awful and he put Tapia in danger by letting him get rocked one last time etc etc

I saw the title but didn't bother going in it.

What made it look worse was the timing. Smoger stepped in at the wrong time and Tapia took that last punch to the chin cause of Smoger basically.

it was a good stoppage. BOTH fighters were taking alot of damage. they were both throwing recklessly with 0 defense and smoger stopped it right at the point that tapia stopped throwing and was only blocking and getting rocked

whether the fight should have been stopped a round earlier i guess is debatable, but i think we can all agree smoger is too slow, did you see how he tried to stop kirkland? The guy needs to be more assertive, *** all this "a fan favorite" ref.. he needs to protect them too.

Agree on all points. That was embarrassing for the sport.

Corners can't be relied on to stop fights, they're too invested and often idiots.

Referees and doctors should stop fights, they should have the fighter's health at heart.

in this case before the last round started the doctor after checking out tapias eye walked over to smoger and told him to keep an eye on tapia.
