          Pernell Whitaker
          Sugar Ray Robinson
          Muhammad Ali
          Julio Cesar Chavez
          Mike Tyson

I think the warning signs were in the first tarver fight for Jones. It seemed that going up to heavyweight then crashing down to lightheavy at his age ****ed him up ( pardon the language ). I will always wonder if Roy had stayed at heavyweight after beating Ruiz would he have been able to maintain a decent performance rate against say an old Holyfield, a Kirk Johnson, Rahman, toney etc...Maybe. But at the time there were no big fights for him after he beat Ruiz.

Archie Moore,Muhammad ali, Holyfield, Roberto duran are the first ones that should have left boxing way earlier than they did. i guess its the pure love of the sport that doesn't let them quit.
