    Fighters who stayed too Long

I was watching Trinidad-Whitaker recently, and I was sad. Whitaker was taking one of the worst beatings ever administered to another legend. Whats worse is that Whitaker was getting beaten up by a guy who he would've handled in his prime. Which fighters do you think simply stayed way past their expiration date? These are my choices:

    Pernell Whitaker
    Sugar Ray Robinson
    Muhammad Ali
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Mike Tyson
    Terry Norris

Good picks. No list would be complete without Holyfield, though.

A mental error, it won't happen again.

When I saw Mark "2 Sharp" Johnson get ko'ed by Rafael Marquez I was also sad.

Ray Leonard could have left earlier, too...his later fights were more boring than they were embarassing, though.

The Terry Norris and Hector Camacho fights were pretty embarrassing. The way Julio Cesar Chavez looked against Willy Wise was the way Ray Robinson looked against Joey Archer. It was pathetic.

              Matthew Saad Muhammad.....

A guy who took beatings when he was a WINNER....
He was brutally battered twice by Dwight Braxton.....in '81 & '82....& then proceeded to keep getting hammered throughout the 80's, & even in the 90's.

              Whitaker ?
He never took too bad a beating (Trinidad laid a decent one on him), & certainly never disgraced himself, even late in his career.
