Comments Thread For: Carl Froch Prefers To 'Move Forward' - Not Face Groves
Collapse

On that logic there was no need for Kessler to face him but he did and then why does Ward need to Face Froch again on Froch's logic - but we all know if Froch does not rematch Groves he will not be recognised by most fans as a warrior or the peoples
's champion - he will been now going forward known as trying to avoid Groves because he knows he got lucky - so if you are trying to leave a legacy Froch = wrong decision.

Understandably, considering that Groves would probably be much more confident and experienced a second time around, while Froch will be just that much older.
From a strictly competitive standpoint, Froch should be only looking at a rematch with Groves, considering the controversial nature of the stoppage in their first fight and the public outcry against him.
Again though, boxing is a business and that type of prideful thinking will get Froch beat.

so froch thinks he deserves a rematch with ward, a fight that was a complete shut out but doesnt feel the need to rematch groves after he was booed out the arena haha the worst thing is u get f@gs on this site defending him

Groves was caught by a good, hard combination, but he was still on his feet. He had earned the chance to try to recover. He still had his hands up. It was the first time in the fight he'd been hurt, and there is no way in a million years that should have been stopped.

He really was **** in trouble whether you consider it a legit stoppage or not, I am 99% sure he was getting stopped at some point.
