I don't get the recent love affair folks have had with Froch. He's a solid fighter. He's an entertaining fighters. And what I respect most about him is that he's an overachiever. But I think that's pretty much where the buck stops. When I started seeing this cat pop up on P4P lists it made me cringe. Not an Adrien Broner on the P4P list cringe. But still a cringe. And the notion that folks wanna put this guy in the great catagory is just laughable to me. But folks are entitled to their opinions. This one that Froch was a great fighter is a ****** opinion. But they are entitled to it.

Groves deserves a rematch with Froch more than Froch deserves a rematch with Ward. Groves was getting in Froch's a$$ and the minute he was wobbled the ref stopped it. The controversy alone warrants a rematch.
Froch got his a$$ handed to him by Ward with one hand. Ward will tear Froch's a$$ out the frame with two hands. The funny part is Froch knows it.Comment

The thing about the Kessler rematch is that Froch had something to offer to Mikkel besides, "Hey it was a close fight, lets do it again". He was the IBF Champion. Kessler's motivation for giving him a rematch is not scoring another win over Froch per se, but taking what Froch had, which was the IBF Title.I wouldn't call all his fans jokes buddy. His most loyal fans all seem to agree that Froch was losing and it was a bull**** stoppage. I'm sure a real Froch fan would be disappointed in him not giving a rematch as well. Kessler honored his word with the rematch so arguably, Carl should do the same thing.
This is a duck.
Froch trained to take Groves' 0 away, and he has done that. I suspect that age 36, he is running out of steam with training camps for fights. He knows he was that close to losing and isn't interested in wasting what's left of his prime on another domestic fight. Before this close-call, he was scared of rematching Andre Ward as he did rebuild himself, but now he wants it because he knows that he is fading and someone of lesser statue might beat him anyway. In other words, another crack at Andre (A P4P top 2), another solid payday, another chance to avenge a loss (which won't happen) and off into retirement. OR rematch Groves after he losses his titles in another domestic elimination bout.Comment

Froch has no skilss. Hes just a bit awkward, and hits hard, also has a very good chin.
2nd time around, its going to be even easier for Groves.
Froch squares himself up when let loose his combos, so he's very predictable and hittable. Groves Kos him in a rematch.Comment

It's not really a correct description to say that Froch is "ducking" anybody especially when you take into consideration who he has fought in his last 11 World Title fights. IMO the most significant factor which makes Froch not want to give Groves another opportunity is that he simply doesn't like him very much plus groves has got a big mouth and managed to get under Carls skin. The fact is that Carl does not need Groves but Groves needs Carl as he is trying to raise his profile in the world arena. Maybe if George took a more diplomatic approach and got on Carls good side he might have been able to talk his way into a another fight. I'm a Froch fan but I will also be the 1st to admit he says ****** **** sometimes....that being said he has been an amazing competitor for Britain on the world stage for ages now and that's why I stand by him as a fight fan.Last edited by l1ght; 12-06-2013, 09:15 PM.Comment

Froch doesn't feel he owes Groves anything nor does he feel he has anything to prove because in his inflated egotistical head he's convinced that he clearly won and the stoppage was not controversial. It doesn't help his case to contradict himself though. How can he say Groves does not deserve a rematch and in the same conversation say that he wan's a rematch against Ward? Ward beat Froch hands down, no controversy. Froch beat Groves via consensus controversial stoppage. Winner goes to Groves rematch.Comment
