I think the Garcia camp was told that Golden Boy wants Khan to get Mayweather and are downplaying themselves. They'd take it if it was offered, but it would never be offered. That might be the case with everyone I mentioned as well.Comment

Here's what I don't get.
Why not have Khan-Alexander like they were supposed to?
That way, whoever won would be an ideal fight for May.
Instead we have this bull****. For what? Doesn't make any sense.Comment

Alexander is the only one I'd prefer.
Maidana is a **** fight and he lost to Khan and didn't win a round against Alexander.
Thurman hasn't beaten anybody in the top 10.
Soto Karrass is on a winning streak but no.
Porter is obviously not going to every be headlining a PPV fight .Comment

Golden Boy has been angling for Mayweather-Khan since 2011. They've been ready to make it a few times, and Khan keeps messing up. If he does as expected against Peterson, Garcia, or even Julio Diaz, he probably would have gotten the fight already.
I guess they said, "screw it," and don't want to risk Khan messing up again by losing to Devon, which could happen.Comment

They aren't good fights, but they're better, more deserving fighters at welterweight than Khan, other than Maidana which I fully agree with. Even Porter if he beat Devon, that's a better and more deserving fighter.Alexander is the only one I'd prefer.

Khan is just so **** the last 2 years. It's a horrible fight.Comment

If Khan can't beat Devon then what's the point in even making the fight? It's not like it's some big money fight.Golden Boy has been angling for Mayweather-Khan since 2011. Khan-Alexander would be all that's needed (If he won) to put him into a position where the fight would be legit.Comment
