Can Floyd wait for Thurman, just as he waited for Guerrero last year? Floyd v Thurman is more attractive.

Manny could have fought someone better than Rios but to be fair he was coming off a devastating loss.
Amir Khan is probably considered the better fighter between him and Brandon Rios based on their accomplishments and ability in the ring. Khan is probably a more dangerous fight for Mayweather than Rios was for Pac given their styles. But it is okay for Pac to fight a guy coming off of a loss because he got knocked out, but it isn't okay for Mayweather to fight a guy who is known to be chinny, simply because Mayweather hasn't lost and we know he is the best.
Forget that Rios was incredibly limited. Forget that Khan is extremely talented and presents a unique threat to Floyd. Pac gets knocked out = he gets a pass. It is very clear based on this double standard that boxing fans know who the superior fighter is.

If we knew Floyd would be fighting for much longer, it would be ok to fight khan, and then Garcia, and then GGG and then Martinez and then Pac.
Floyd hardly fights so stop making him out as if he delivers more than he needs to. His first fight with Ortiz was memorable for the wrong reasons, and then Guerrero and weight drained Canelo.
Its nothing to write home about. Pacs the superior fighter who takes risks, Floyd is the survival expert.
But the khan fight is ok IMO, but not at the expense of fighting GGG, Martinez, Pac or Garcia.Last edited by hugh grant; 12-05-2013, 07:19 AM.

Pac isn't even the better fighter, definitely not in the ring.
Why would you want Floyd to fight GGG or Martinez, but not expect the same of the other WW in Pac? Some weird expectation from you guys.Last edited by damned1974; 12-05-2013, 07:38 AM.

How can you claim Pac is taking more risks than Floyd when Pac was fighting Oscar, Hatton, Shane, etc AFTER Floyd?
Pac isn't even the better fighter, definitely not in the ring.
.
So who was Floyd fighting these guys after. Who had beat DLH, SSM before Floyd, and nearly beat Hatton before Floyd? Yes, after fighting Floyd you improve, so Pac was fighting improved versions.
Pac is the better fighter in the ring. Floyd supposed greatness is from an unbeaten record and cherry picking. Are we to believe Bradley is unbeaten now?

He only has a few fights left and he needs to fight people who will make him level with Ali, SRR, Pac etc. Again, its no point messing aboiut now.

Pac a better boxer-hell no. His technique isn't half of Mayweather's. You cannot call Mayweather a cherry-picker without saying the same about Manny, simple as that. If anything, Floyd has been fighting guys coming off of wins, most of the time defining wins. Of course Pac has been fighting guys coming off of losses-sometimes just a few fights removed from career bad losses or bad ko's. Your logic is abstract.Last edited by damned1974; 12-05-2013, 08:02 AM.

Khan has talent, but not the discipline to apply that talent properly to give himself a chance against Floyd. He is very fast, but very easy for even a relatively plodding fighter like Julio Diaz to catch due to his lacking defense and sloppy offense. He doesn't have particularly good one punch power. And when Khan is caught, he gets hurt. He hasn't even gotten a big win in years. The fight is just another classic handpick job from Floyd, who simply does not have it in him to take even a small risk. Pacquiao and Martinez are clearly faded, but Floyd still won't fight either of them. GGG is good but has clear technical flaws, Floyd won't test that either. Floyd is about making money, not about fighting for legacy at all.
As about the so called Golovkin's "clear technical flaws" I would rather like Andre Ward to "exploit" them...
