Comments Thread For: Klitschko-Leapai Showdown is Ordered By The WBO

The World Boxing Organization has ordered WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (61-3, 51KOs) to face mandatory challenger Alex Leapai (30-4-3, 24KOs). The two sides have 30 days to reach an agreement before the fight receives a purse bid date. Leapai shook up the division on November 23rd in Bamberg, Germany - when he scored a dominating upset ten round unanimous decision over previously undefeated WBO 1# contender Denis Boytsov of Russia.

Seen nuthuggers already defending this fight on other sites. Lol! Wlad will avoid pulev & wont vacate the title. Good job on vitali holding the wbc belt hostage. Cant wait until they are gone...

Another shameful defense. Wlad should just drop the belt and fight better contenders. The era is horrible, but this is just getting ridiculous.

It baffles me why fighters, champions, think they need these phony trinkets unless they just dont want to fight the best. Its as if they pay sanctioning fees so they can get easy defenses.
