Bob is no fool. I'm sure he knew he would lose money on this venture. It's a future investment that May or may not work out in the long run. The important thing for him is that Top Rank has planted a flag in China.
Also since it's Bob reporting these #s assuredly they are probably lower.
If Roach truly cares about Manny, him and Manny flky alone to Schaefers house and see whats what and his true stock.........Comment

For where Floyd's status is, that is a flop.
Manny "just got KTFO" Pacquaio, going up against "human punching bag" Rios wasn't supposed to put up mega #s. It was a tune up fight, and it happened to be on PPV, because if you can sell 500k and up, you're gonna be on PPV.
It's really that simple.Comment

I was debating a Pac fan earlier who said that i must have lived under a rock cause no Pac fan or media or anyone thought Rios was "tune-up" or "punching bag" and that he was considered a solid dangerous opponent. But here we are back to "tune-up"\
And if he fought a "tune-up" how does that show he should be next for Floyd. I mean it was a "tune-up" against a "punching bag"
What made things worse is they expected us US people to pay 60$ when they were trying to sell it for $5.00 in China, the Chinese thought $5.00 dollars was too steep, and ending up showing the fight on free tv. So they wanted people to pay 60$ for a ppv being the first with 2 fighters coming off L's, when even the chinese knew this was a regular tv match and showed it for free, thats rubs me wrong, even though I wanted to order, only in Arum land
The trash card aint help Golden Boy may have changed the game as far as ppv's go....Comment

I don't know how they lost big on this. I mean 500k ppvs in an Asian economy? You're not talking dollar spending here. The only thing taxed here by the US was the PPVs shown on American Cable and Satellite, everything else was tax free. Why do you think American companies opt to go overseas instead of making jobs available for lazy Americans?Comment
