Has nothing to do with wanting to see brawls. The vast majority of the people who complain about boring fights only complain when it involves someone with dark skin. The boring argument on this site is little more than an extension of the racism we see way too much of around here.

I'm fairly new to this site. I thought I knew quite a bit about boxing, but found out very quickly that I didn't. It's through men like you, and a core of others, with your comments and critiques, that have given me a greater appreciation of this sport, for which I'm grateful. That being said, I find it disappointing that you've resorted to something as cheap as race baiting. There is no 'vast majority' of people who equate boring fights with 'dark skinned' men, it's wrongheaded and it cheapens the debate. Still a fan though.

Those same posters are in every Wlad thread saying he's a brilliant boxer.

You got that right, wlad is awesome but Rigondeaux, fmj and Lara are boring, like that kid saying that Lara get his mail back peddaling, his last fight was on a phone booth, with a rehydrate clause only for him a memory foam for a mat and still make a proud mexican fighter quit, and let me told you that I hadn't seen angulo in that kind shape in years, Lara was in a war with brewster, williams and angulo, he was in a hugging fest with molina (and we all know he was sick that night), but who hasn't, the first 4 rounds against vanes were dull but he stated coming on from the fifth until vanes quit even before the doc took a look at his wound, and some say that he is boring, Rigondeaux has 12 fights, and only in his 6 one against cordova he took off from the 6 on, all the others he has box beautiful and either dominated or KO his opponents...

lara is an ok fighter. so is trout.

these are young, relatively fresh guys, but this is still a crossroads fight. their styles lead me to believe that the loser won't have much of a future.

a fighter with a bad style who wins is one thing, but one who loses? you aren't going to be cast as an opponent, because your style will make the A side look bad in defeat or victory. and you aren't going to be the A side unless you win.

I really hope the judges give Lara a fair shake. People on a boxing site hating on pure boxers is truly ignorance . People should learn to appriciate all styles of this sport we love. It is ok to pick your shots and stick and move. Smh !
