The man used to be the top dog promoter in boxing and his guys were involved in the biggest fights but then around 10 years ago he started promoting less and fell off the map. Does anyone know what happened to his promotions?
Wtf happened to Don King

Last I saw of Don King his fighter, undefeated Cuban prospect Angelo Santana was fighting Bahodir Mamadjanov on Showtime and lost the fight, and King signed Baha the next day and his next fight was against a guy with like a 10-30 record lol -
He's like 400 years old. Same age as Bob Arum but King didn't build his empire like Arum did - Arum has a lot of employees King doesn't anymore. Also King always focused on heavyweights and when the heavyweight division died so did king's power in boxing, imo.Comment

yeah in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's Don King dominated the sport.
His last real big hold was that he controlled most of the heavyweight champions and contenders but then when the Klitschko era began it seemed that was his last real grip on shot callin the sport.
He also no longer had a superstar like Tito Trinidad or anybody like that as well.
Oscar left Top Rank and started up Golden Boy so the two major promotions have been TR vs GB and Don King never regained his power ever since.Comment
