Ortiz got the fight by beating Berto after looking like ***** vs Lamont Peterson and quitting vs Maidana. Al Haymon is all of there manager so that rematch clause would wait for a better event to happen. More people know who Khan is than Robert Guerrero but he fought Floyd also.

Ortiz was the WBC champion and Guerrero was the #1 contender. Maidana is not.

Despite what idiots on this forum say Floyd has a history of fighting the best available contender. (key word available so nobody bring up TR fighters). Maidana doesn't qualify since he already lost to 2 fighters who are currently in line.

is this a joke - pleas tell me other than getting caught by Marquez why he doesn't deseve the fight. he schooled Bradley, got ko'd by Marquez in the fight if the yr that he was winning before the ko. and then shutout Rios. all this after he broke the record for titles and lineal championship ( which Floyd just tied). anyone that says pac don't "deserve" the fight knows nothing abuot boxing at all

I don't ever think I said "Pac doesn't deserve it." I asked why was it a must fight. And IMO, he lost to JMM, whom Floyd schooled in their third fight. IMO he far from schooled a one legged Bradley. I had him winning 7-5. He was up a point on all cards and had already been dropped when JMM seperated him from his senses. And Rios is a ****in' bum. I repeat, why is this a must fight. Because from where I'm sitting. About 95% of the people screaming Floyd is ducking Manny will be screaming Floyd waited till Manny got old after Floyd beats him. So in my mind, its not a must fight.
