The major difference between the two is their approach. Golovkin takes a more careful, technical approach, where he boxes smart with his pressure and doesn't press hard unless he hurts you. Kovalev is a ****ing machine coming out to hurt and knock you out from round 1. Dude's like a light heavyweight George Foreman, he knows he can hurt you and knows you can land, and his mission is to take you out as quick as possible.

There's not much point in considering Kovalev-Golovkin. They're two divisions away from each other and no one is asking for it. Both have fights people actually want to see that are far more reasonable.
    I completely agree with this.

I don't know why people keep talking about these two, Kovalev is a LHW, Golovkin is a MW. They will never fight and should never fight. It would be like comparing Danny Garcia/Khan with Golovkin/Martinez

I think GG will get stopped, his face gets busted fairly easy (showed against the decent hitter Rosado) and tends to gas. That is not a good combination against a fast guy (Martinez) or a power puncher (Quillin). Don't put too much stock into him

and to those saying that "what's the point of discussing it they're 15lbs apart" EXACTLY that's my entire point. Kovalev is much bigger and would WRECK Golovkin so I'm trying to send a message to the idiots who keep saying Golovkin would win, please stop, it's annoying. There's no way Golovkin would stand a chance other than some sparring myth. He's just too small. Kovalev is far more brutal than Golovkin, there's a reason a guy whose boxing nickname is KRUSHER and has killed an opponent in the ring before, against a guy named "Triple G" and "Goodboy" lol

People might call me crazy for saying this, but Golovkin could probably beat the guys that Kovalev has beat.

Kovalev beats anyone south of 175

H2H of course Kovalev wins. He's much bigger.

But I think Golovkin will be the more celebrated fighter when it's all said and done. Golovkin has the "potential" to be the best Middleweight of his era, a potential ATG IMO.

Kovalev is a beast, but I don't think he'll get that chance once Ward finally mans up and goes to run 175. He'll be defeated in the next couple years. That being said, I think Kovalev KO's Stevenson hands down.

Meanwhile Sillakh didn't land anything please stop lying.
You are comparing Stevens to Sillakh why exactly? The Sillakh fight was less than four minutes. If Golovkin fought a guy that chinny it wouldn't last long either.

I agree, I'd end the thread there too if I could. And Golovkin beats anyone south of wherever the hell he wants to fight at. LOL

Yeah GGG is very accurate, he's a lot more calculated with his punches, doesn't waste many.

Tbh the only guy I can see beating GGG and Kovalev is Ward.
