So when Pac decided he was going to fight Bradley, it was thought of as a very competitive match up that people looked forward to and hard fight to pick. People weren't saying to themselves Bradley hasn't had a WW fight so I don't want to see this fight. SRL vs Hagler was interesting as well. Marvin wasn't not going to get credit for fighting SRL.
Of course, but you said Tito never fought at the weight. He was actually a titleholder. Just setting the record straight.

Alexander has a win over Bailey, who was ranked top 10 because of his upset win over Jones. And beat Maidana, who was not top 10 but they were both debuting against each other at 147.

Guerrero beat Aydin and Berto, which is more than Marquez had done when Pacquiao picked to fight him at 144 and 147.

The point is both Guerrero and Alexander had done more at WW than JMM and Bradley had when Pacquiao chose them.

          im not giving him credit,,,

do you think he lost to bradley,, if yes than you probably had the canelo-floyd fight a draw as well,,

I thought manny lost the last 2 jmm fights, but beat bradley,, All guys are considered elite p4p guys,,

the same cant be said about ortiz, guerrero, canelo or khan...

Its a simple question-- are bradley and jmm on the same level as canelo and ghost

Mayweather was an Olympic medalist in 1996 and has been in the pound for pound discussion since 1998. Manny has peaked and fallen, while Mayweather remains at the top.

pretty damn easy..all are fighting people at or above their weight class and havent lost recently
For real,, this is your own list from today,,, yet your on this thread claiming that canelo, ortiz, ghost are on the same level as your very on #3 p4p and #6 p4p.....

You gotta get off these floyd threads,, I would be embarrassed to get owned this much.. Your a much better poster when it doesnt involve floyd or manny

Career-wise? No way. As physical threats? Yes. Ortiz, Canelo and Ghost present way more matchup problems than Marquez (as we saw in 2009) and Bradley (way too little to hurt Mayweather). And don't forget Ortiz was WBC champ; Canelo was 154 champ; and Ghost was the #1 contender.

and they have a combined 3 good wins vs trout, berto twice,,

Whereas JMM has been a thorn in manny's side since featherweight, and bradley earned his way with more quality wins vs top guys than canelo, ghost and ortiz combined,,

canelo, ghost ortiz have beaten berto twice and trout

bradley has beaten abregu, peterson, witter, alexander, vazquez, holt

There is no way you can compare canelo, ortiz, ghost to jmm and bradley

Yes they are bigger and thats it, but boxing is about skills not size,, Its like saying roy jones win over ruiz was on the same level as hopkins-tito, because ruiz is bigger,,

canelo and ortiz had a punchers chance,, Ghost only chance was if mayweather was old overnight

Just post your current p4p list

I already said those three don't compare career-wise to JMM and Bradley. No need to recount their careers.

                    My list

                    1. Mayweather
                    2. Ward
                    3. Rigondeaux
                    4. Bradley
                    5. Danny Garcia

Of course he is held to a higher standard.

He is an overall better fighter. Talent-wise meaning natural talent like speed, power, reflexes, chin they are even but skill wise and ring IQ wise it isnt even close.

Regardless of people like him as a person, he has been a top 10 p4p guy and a world champion since 1998. Has beaten more champions, more titlists in 15-16 less fights.

The proof is in the pudding

Also to add to the debate Mayweather has beaten ranked fighters since his comeback outside of JMM who was champion at 135 at the time.

since campaiging at 147 Mayweather has wins over former welterweight champions and titlists Mosley, Ortiz, Marquez, Guerrero, Hatton. He simply has a better resume at the weight than manny and thats not a matter of myth, its a fact.
