Can't blame cotto for wanting it at msg after seeing the tough loss Martin Murray took in Argentina . I like this fight . We've never seen cotto at 160 . But I also wouldn't mind seeing cotto/alverez at somtime .

Cotto/Alvarez could be made later. canelo is young and needs big name opponents.

showtime & golden boy was hoping cotto took the 10 mil to fight canelo, so canelo could beat cotto & be an even bigger draw for whomever he fought for the other 2 ppvs for the year. well thats been shot down!

He probably will. Or when he does win the lineal MW championship, I have zero doubt Floyd will be interested as well. Lots of opportunities for Miguel.

Still haven't heard anyone confirm that $15 million offer rumor. If Cotto feels Martinez is a better option so be it. But its hard to believe he will make more money fighting Sergio than Canelo. Canelo/Cotto is a potential 1 million PPV seller. Martinez/Cotto does similar numbers to what Martinez did with Chavez Jr. last year.
I think Cotto losses to either guy so its good for him to have one last great payday.

That's what he'd essentially do if he does take the Martinez fight. As others have pointed out Martinez's time is running short and Canelo isn't going anywhere.

Like I said before, this is the fight I want but yesterday everybody thought the Canelo deal was done and after this release, everybody will act like this deal is done.

Well sergio is old and coming off surgery and by that time it would be a very long time since he last fought,its the easier fight
