Certainly he's faded. Compare that performance to the Margarito fight and there's even quite a difference there.

Still, he had been off a year, had been KO'd cold in the previous fight, and was likely fighting a safer fight than usual. Also, in some ways he actually looked better than he had recently. Think of the Bradley fight. I think he objectively looked quite a bit better last Saturday, although of course against a much lesser opponent.

      • KOvalev by TKO 6. Sillakh will win some early rounds, but Kovalev will adjust and get to him. Even if Sillakh had shown a great chin up until now, I'd still pick KOvalev to stop him.

        • Don't doubt life was rough for him in the Ukraine
I think he loses, but he has a shot against anybody else

          • I remember when I first saw Sillakh getting hyped up to be the next big thing. That same night he got trashed on FNF.

Then he took a lot of damage in the last two, and lost them both. I think it's becoming more and more obvious how limited Rios is, but his toughness and ability to take punishment is still there.

But how much longer will it be there, or how long will it continue to win him fights? I dunno. Personally, if he fights Ruslan next, I think that very well could cut his career much shorter. And I'd take Ruslan to absolutely demolish Rios.
Man, if he fought Ruslan, he'd be done after that. He is a worn down guy for sure and his time is limited due to his style of fighting.
