The fight just wasn't makeable. Mostly due to things that are outta those guys hands. Well, I guess Floyd could technically get over his dislike of Arum. But on the flipside, Pac didn't have to sign a multi-fight extension with Arum knowing that would be a major stumbling block for the Floyd fight.

As for your plan of how things should play out. I have no interest in seeing Floyd-Khan. I also have serious doubts that Pac makes it through a 5th JMM fight and a Bradley rematch unbeaten. And to be honest, that's why I don't really have much interest in seeing Floyd-Pac right now. I've never thought Pac could legitimately complete with Floyd. But I wanted the fight because of its historical significance. That's gone now and its never coming back. Even if Pac avenges his loses. The general feeling of a Floyd-Pac fight now would be it came too late, regardless of who wins. But especially if Floyd wins.

As for you thinking there's no money for Floyd to make. That's not true. If you pay attention closely to how GBP is handling Broner. He's being matched and promoted to be Floyd's next, and likely last mega event type opponent. And I think that one is either coming Sept 2014 or May 2015. In the meantime, Garcia had a helluva showing on the Floyd-Canelo undercard. With Floyd Sr and Angel, that fight could approach 1.5m. I think Martinez is a wildcard. And I think that fight could approach 1.5m. All in all, when people say Floyd doesn't have any big fight options, its not true.

My hope is that GbP and TR get their **** together. Not only for a potential Floyd-Pac fight. But for all the fights that are being blocked because of the promotional beef. Look at 140 and 147. How awesome would that weight range be if everyone could fight everyone. How much anticipation in the hardcore community would a Donaire-Mares fight had pre-Rigondeaux and Gonzolaz respectively. And how awesome would it be if Rigondeaux could fight Gonzolaz now? I'm just sayin'. This **** is bigger than Floyd-Pac.
the fight was def makeable when both were on hbo from 09-12,,, If you dont think floyd is afraid of losing his 0, then your in denial,, why do you think he had canelo at a CW,,, brought hatton to 147, choses guys like ortiz and ghost, wouldnt fight shane or cotto in 07-08 when TR and GBP were making fights together like hatton-manny, shane-margs, shane-cotto, manny-oscar etc.. Floyd is afraid of losing his 0 because that is what he has built his hype around, being an undefeated fighter,, if floyd had a loss or 2 we wouldnt be earning anything near what he is now...
Plus floyd is the most powerful boxer in the world, if he really wanted it, he could have made it, no doubt,, he is the face of boxing and #1 draw, and only ali, srl, oscar, tyson can say that, and all those guys made the fights no matter the promoters or networks involved,,, Look at oscar, he was the #1 draw and the face of boxing and he landed fights with tito, shane, vargas, ike, pernel, chavez, hopkins, manny, floyd, etc... I see no reason why floyd couldnt do the same except for that he doesnt want to,,, There is no plausible reason except for that,,, Your talking about a guy that is a free agent, has no restrictions, no promoter, yet for whatever reason he cant make the biggest fight in history,,
FLoyd could come out on ESPN and call manny out repeatedly and apply a bunch of pressure to get the fight done,,, But when have you ever seen floyd call manny out, he makes a bunch of excuses, and says its easy money, easy fight, then why doesnt he fight him,, Every fight of this magnitude has always been made,, ali-frazeir, ali-foreman, srl-duran, srl-hearsn, srl-hagler, tyson-spinks, tyson-holyfield, oscar-tito, oscar-floyd, etc
If floyd was just some fighter like mares or donaire, then it would be understandable, but not if your the damn #1 fighter in the world, who has no restrictions and is his own boss,,
Like i said before, from 09-12 he could have made any demands he wanted from arum and arum would have agreed as long as TR was the promoter for the fight,, Floyd is a free agent and only works fight by fight basis with GBP, he could have easily made this fight with TR from 09-12, to think otherwise is just fanboy denial

It's not the same as before, but it still lucrative and commands attention. I'm in no position or you to know if it will make money, but tv execs an promoters knows if it will. So your wrong there. Show time exec wants it to happen.

      It still makes sense.

Not my opinion its what Floyd is KNOWN for.
              Lol I feel you brother.

We all know sr. Has been harping to Floyd to stay away from hard punching lefties with fast hands and feet. He's just being a father, but it's pretty obvious for years now Floyd has been listening to his dad.

That left straight of. PAC will find its mark every time he does his shoulder roll. Sr. Knows its Achilles heal is a straight left. Lefties seem to give Floyd fits. Especially from the fastest lefty around.

Sr. Knows sayonara Floyd jr's 'O' is very much at risk coz Pac has always been a clear and present danger.

I think an 80% Martinez has a better chance than an 80% Pacquaio. Stylistically, I think Bradley has a better chance of beating Floyd than Pac. But that's just me, and what my eye tests on the fighters mentioned tells me. I could be wrong. But I think each of these guys gives Floyd a tougher fight than Pac. So in my own lil boxing universe, they hold more priority than Pac.
So u want those guys to come down ,ggg and Sergio . Rather than see PAC/May at 147. U like catch weight fights? I mean i want to see all those fights but the fight I like most is may/PAC at 147. I think it's a 50-50 fight

                  • It's a 50-50 thing.. yeah brandon rios aint too much, but guerrero? floyd sr calling guerrero and canelo elite now? we know how they are, canelo himself is built up to be a star, but who does he beat? same thing with guerrero.. pacquiao can take them alternately in between rounds!
