Not my opinion its what Floyd is KNOWN for.Originally posted by Mercdoc1998 View PostHere come the excuses!!!! The best compliment possible on Manny's performance is Sr ******** already making excuses for why Floyd (the Hemroid) will not fight Manny. Fact is Pacman looked better than Hemroid has ever looked. And guess what Pacman didn't fight an over the hill, or undersized, or dehydrated, opponent like Hemroid always does. Worst part for Hemroid is the legacy he thinks he's building will have an asterisk beside it noting that he never fought anybody in their prime and dodged everybody. Paper record cause he never took a chance like the all time greats.

He's in the middle of the most lucrative TV deal in boxing history. Why is he expected to flush that down the toilet? Basically what I'm saying is that whenever this subject comes up. People want Floyd to go above and beyond anything anything a fighter has had to do. And place all the blame on him. When Pac could just as easily break ranks with his business associates to make the fight easier to make. My point all day has been that if these guys wanted to fight badly enough, they could. But they don't. Keyword THEY.
I agree that it takes both sides to make the deal, and its not just floyd's responibilty but his and manny's and arum's.... GBP are lucky that floyd deals with them...
No one wants this fight over the last few years, because floyd and crew were afraid of losing that 0, and arum and crew werent trying to derail the manny cash cow train,, but now that both sides have exhausted all other possibilites, and the fight would still be a blockbuster, i see no reason not to get it done in may 2015...
april 2014 manny bradley 2
may 2014 floyd vs khan
sept 2014 floyd-garcia
nov 2014 manny-jmm 5
if both can keep winning
may 2015 floyd-manny in the most lucrative fight of all time
Thats how it should go down

As for your plan of how things should play out. I have no interest in seeing Floyd-Khan. I also have serious doubts that Pac makes it through a 5th JMM fight and a Bradley rematch unbeaten. And to be honest, that's why I don't really have much interest in seeing Floyd-Pac right now. I've never thought Pac could legitimately complete with Floyd. But I wanted the fight because of its historical significance. That's gone now and its never coming back. Even if Pac avenges his loses. The general feeling of a Floyd-Pac fight now would be it came too late, regardless of who wins. But especially if Floyd wins.
As for you thinking there's no money for Floyd to make. That's not true. If you pay attention closely to how GBP is handling Broner. He's being matched and promoted to be Floyd's next, and likely last mega event type opponent. And I think that one is either coming Sept 2014 or May 2015. In the meantime, Garcia had a helluva showing on the Floyd-Canelo undercard. With Floyd Sr and Angel, that fight could approach 1.5m. I think Martinez is a wildcard. And I think that fight could approach 1.5m. All in all, when people say Floyd doesn't have any big fight options, its not true.
My hope is that GbP and TR get their **** together. Not only for a potential Floyd-Pac fight. But for all the fights that are being blocked because of the promotional beef. Look at 140 and 147. How awesome would that weight range be if everyone could fight everyone. How much anticipation in the hardcore community would a Donaire-Mares fight had pre-Rigondeaux and Gonzolaz respectively. And how awesome would it be if Rigondeaux could fight Gonzolaz now? I'm just sayin'. This **** is bigger than Floyd-Pac.
