Does Pacquaio deserve the shot more than Guerrero and Canelo because of his accomplishments -- yes. But Bradley and Marquez deserve it too. The KO doesn't erase Pacquaio deserving the shot, it just makes the shot less desirable. And of course, it's a better fight than Amir Khan. I don't think the fight will happen though because there's just too much bad blood between Floyd, Arum, Golden Boy, Haymon, Showtime vs. HBO, etc.

Floyd dislikes Arum so much that he says he won't watch a PPV by Top Rank because he doesn't want to put money in Arum's pockets. I'd like the fight to happen, but don't think it will.
    Fair enough. Good post.

Floyd Sr said in this interview. "If Manny woops Canelo or Guerrero then let's get it on but not now"

        BUT

        Previous interview:

When asked, Floyd Sr said that "Khan should BYPASS Devon Alexander fight and wait for the more lucrative fight against his son, Floyd Jr"

"Which fight brings more money? I think Khan should just fight Floyd. It makes more sense" Mayweather Sr stated"

When you get 4 chances to win you eventually will get one.

Rios isn't nearly on the level of Guerrero or Canelo .... not even close. Rios is awful. I said that before hand...I stick by it after. Rios shouldn't be on a world stage especially not one that big, at a class he'd never fought at....while coming off a loss against someone who is B class at best.

Too bad Manny was caught sleeping on the job, perhaps Manny could have had that convincing win finally.

Rios was coming of a lost for crying out loud let alone a top fighter. Its painfully obvious why Rios was chosen.

I don't think there's any question that Rios didn't deserve that stage, but as far as tune-ups go he was the most marketable. His abrasiveness, **** talking, and bombs away style made him an intriguing opponent to the casuals, even if he was a tailor made opponent for Manny.

And of course, he got that check really to be a sacrificial lamb of sorts. He just fell into the lottery and happen to fit the exact criteria that Arum and co. were looking for.
