I don't think there's any question that Rios didn't deserve that stage, but as far as tune-ups go he was the most marketable. His abrasiveness, **** talking, and bombs away style made him an intriguing opponent to the casuals, even if he was a tailor made opponent for Manny.
And of course, he got that check really to be a sacrificial lamb of sorts. He just fell into the lottery and happen to fit the exact criteria that Arum and co. were looking for.
Yes he was there for a reason, marketable...extremely limited and even more so tailor made for Pac... he served his purpose. To say anything about pac from a "is he back standpoint" you can't say, it's the exact same as the cotto fight except Pac couldn't put Rios away. Meant nothing other than a highlight reel to try to make Pac more marketable again.
He's right but paktoords won't know anything about it because they don't know anything about boxing..rios is a bum who has no skills what so ever..
What is boxing? if two men are fighting with boxing gloves and under boxing rules how aren't they boxing? who are you to say what's boxing or what's not? if rios wasn't boxing what was he doing? using his ebt card at walmart?
If Rios is a bum who has no skills what so ever, how did he manage to get into a position where only the top 1% of boxers in the world are in? You do know that there's more boxers than the 10 you know by name right? there's millions of registered boxers in the states alone dummy, by default the man is an alpha in the sport just from the position that he's in right now.
When you get 4 chances to win you eventually will get one.
Yeah, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while. p.s., Like your ***** sticker. The fight I want to see is Floyd versus Barack, loser leaves the country for good.
