Comments Thread For: Chisora on David Haye's Retirement, Pala Clash, More

Dereck Chisora is unmoved by the changes to his opponent as the WBO international heavyweight champion prepares to defend his title against Ondrej Pala on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Chisora, who will also be gunning for the vacant WBA international heavyweight crown at the Copper Box Arena, was due to face Arnold Gjerjaj and then Matteo Modugno before eventually signing a contract to face Pala of the Czech Republic.

Pala has won 32 of his 35 fights and was drafted in at short notice following a rib injury ruling Modugno out of the contest but Chisora is ready for all-comers.

"You just have to keep going with it and keep pushing," he said.

I like Chisora hes tough and isnt overawed by reputations and I can see why he slapped the klitschkos tbh, its the stuff outside the ring trying to put him off his game, contracts, banning his delboy song etc
Haye and Booth did the same stuff with Monte Barrett

I was sad he got KOd by Haye but he looked good vs Vitali and if he can keep that defence for all his fights and not be a stiff he can maybe be a top contender again, hes a good heavyweight

I like chisora because he is no nonsense & will fight anyone. too be honest I hope he doesn't lose too much weight. he won't be pushing guys around without the extra weight.

Yes, he looked in great shape against Gerber, he should not get even lighter than that.

actually, Haye retired when the bell rang for round 1 against WK -- the only thing that has stayed unretired since then is his big mouth....

Go Del Boy.... Doing things the right way. A little more mobility would suite Chisora...He needs to be active to win fights.
