If the Ref would have asked Carl to walk towards him in the 1st round after the knock down, Froch wouldn't have been able to do so too wobbly. Froch got a pass there and the bell sounded. Close to a first round KO and with a "legitimate ref" it would have been over in round one. The ref saved Froch from the quick KO.

Are you saying a legitimate ref would not have gave him a count? because Froch was ready to walk towards him after the 8 count. He recovered quickly.

Hard to believe nobody is talking about the referee agreeing with somebody elses prediction of a 9th round stoppage before the fight, if that's true it makes this situation really shady.

Froch has been heavily invested in by Sky and the whole evening was tailored to his victory. Punching on the break, rabbit punches and a weak weak stoppage!! Groves is a free-agent and they would never allow him to ruin their investment. I salute George Groves because he nearly ruined everything!!!! #LAD

groves deserves a rematch I'm glad he's getting it. Also thought Froch should be mad at the referee because that prevented him from knocking out groves. But I bet Froch was just happy to leave the stadium with his belt

Foster could be in hot water after appearing to agree with a prediction on Facebook that Froch would win in the ninth round BEFORE the fight.
