Comments Thread For: Carl Froch Admits That Groves Deserves a Rematch

CARL FROCH is ready for a megabucks rematch with George Groves.

Froch retained his WBA and IBF super-middleweight belts when referee Howard Foster controversially stopped the contest in the ninth round with Groves still on his feet.

The decision left Groves and most of the 20,000 crowd fuming and the challenger immediately called for a rematch.

Froch, 36, said: “Yes, let’s have a rematch and sort it out. He deserves the chance.

“I’ll give him a rematch. But I don’t have to give anyone a rematch. [Click Here To Read More]

    Glad to hear it...

I would like Groves to fight Stieglitz first if possible though, he'd win for sure and it would make it a nice unification match up.

Hearn speaks from the business side -- as the "demand" proved to be overwhelming already...
Froch had nowhere else to go, eventually... Carl will have face huge home audience adversity while taking this rematch...
They will produce a huge money fight...

Why, it would make even more money in my opinion if Groves was a champ.

Groves doesn't need to be the champ - people already saw what he was made of and he should unofficially be the champ anyways.

i wonder if the rematch will give the advantage to froch or groves. i'm inclined to think it benefits froch. groves had the element of surprise on his side last time and fought the fight of his life. that early knock down was fortuitous too. froch knows exactly what he's in for now.

but on the other hand, groves seems to be a very shrewd and adjustable fighter.

It'll favour Groves because he's seen the best Froch has to offer, tasted his power

Groves will come in and be more clinical, conserve his energy and improve on his performance

He's only 25, he's come along way since he fought Degale, Froch cant change his style, he will come out and do what he did the first time around.

Groves jab and right hand is the key to victory, and more movement because Froch looked like he couldn't handle the movement

He's lost a lot of fans in one night. Maybe he's beginning to realize public opinion is against him.
