  • 2009 it would have been competitive with a mayweather UD, maybe 8-4 rounds.

Today? Mayweather will dominate and almost shut him out. Pac might win 2 rounds at best.

As you know in a boxing match many things could happen. Mayweather could fight perfect for many rounds, but have one slip, one second where Manny throws a 4/5 punch combination and have a few slip through his guard. Manny is fast enough and heavy handed enough to do it, and I could see him hurting Mayweather. Will it translate to a KO? That's the million or rather 100million dollar question we all want to know.
When was the last time PAC ko someone? But he's supposed to have a chance doing it to mayweather when Floyd would reduce mannys connect % below 20% like everyone else? Come on man.

      • Pac landed 48 % power punches vs rios!!!!!!!rios!!!
He shoulda been in the 60 % range at least 50% and it went the distance!!!!!!!!

        • Despite how ridiculous Roach's claims are, it's quite evident that there is plenty of interest in this fight still. I'm all for it!

Mayweather still wins this fight by comfortable UD. Afterward, he will receive zero credit for making easy work of Pacquiao. Truth.

          • here we go again!

            flo'mo's vs pck turds

I'm tired of this... I doubt mayweather takes the fight, and I seriously doubt pac wants it.. Arum is just blowing smoke again.. Rios was just made to look Pack good..

Truth is I do happen to think Pac is probably the closest fighter to stand a chance to beat money, that's why he wont fight him.. talk all the smack you want but mayweather has yet to fight an top opposition (canelo was not top caliber) and so has pac, they're just exploiting the fans!

I think pac has a chance because of his foot speed and hand speed, angles.. Look at mayweather's opponents? straight forward and flat footed, taylor made for his lighting quick rights.. Cotto who has decent foot movement managed to lay some lumber down, and he don't have the angles or speed pac possesses.. I don't think pac ko's or hurt money.. but he sure stands a chance in outpointing him, workrate alone.. when Mayweather is pressured and being slap around he goes into a shell... never trades.. so what's to say that manny manages to punch the hell out of his arms and shoulders with no response from mayweather, giving away rounds.. in and out like Rios, I now mayweather's footwork will get him out of many troubles, but 1 potshot per round wont win you a fight with manny, unless he lands a bomb like marquez.

Either way I think if the fight's made 3-1 Mayweather to win a boring sparring session, especially when Pac seemed gun shy..

Well he may have not KO'd some fighters, but lets be honest he definitely hurt them, and if their corners had brains they should have thrown in the towel.
Cotto was basically done by the 7th round. After that he was on his bike hoping to simply survive.
Margarito should have been stopped by the 8th round.
Rios should have been stopped by the 9th round.
Mosley was telling his corner he basically wanted to quit the fight.

The fact it doesn't go on record as a KO or TKO does not tell the entire story.

And yes Mayweather might hold Pacquiao to below 20% connect rate. I thought I made it clear on my previous post, but even if 10% of his punches go through Mayweathers solid defense, they could be enough to hurt Mayweather because as we know Pacquiao has heavy hands.

Again, this is simply my opinion. All we could do is speculate since they won't get in the ring and fight it out.

So you are willing to bet everything you own against my 50 bucks then if you are so sure? I am picking Floyd in a close fight but if anyone is dumb enough to think Pac has no chance, lets see them put up everything they own against my 50 bucks and that will shut people up fast. Anyone who has been around boxing more than 5 fights knows that anything can happen in that ring.

If Arum ever gets the balls to make the fight happen, Manny will look amateurish.

                  • I knew the 'Pac beats Mayweather' talk would re-surface at some point.

I just thought it would take more than a win over Brandon ****ing Rios for it to do so.

SMH...Pacquiao throws double the amount of power punches compared to Floyd and scores just a bit under 50% accuracy. You have got to be a if you think Floyd's numbers are still superior to Pac's power punches despite the overwhelming difference in connects and total power punches thrown.
Floyd (against Canelo) landed 53% of power punches for a total of 93/175 power punches thrown.
Pacquiao (against Rios) landed 48% of power punches for a total of 223/468 power punches thrown.

And just for your further education, check for yourself how Floyd and Pac fared against similar kind of opponents to Canelo and Rios. Get a clue before you post, ok?

Floyd (against Guerrero) landed 60% of power punches for a total of 153/254 power punches thrown.
Pacquiao (against Cotto) landed 49% of power punches for a total of 276/560 power punches thrown.
