so we pick and choose what we want to count? personally, i want to look at the ENTIRE years work of the trainer. we didnt give roach a pass last year, why would we give garcia a pass now? both donaire and rios losses were due to the lack of adjustment and gameplan. granted, rios was way over his head.

BUT i do agree if maidana beats broner, thats something special.

It's between Joel Diaz and Sr. for me. Both had great years. The only 'bad' part of Sr.'s year was the Mickey Bey disaster. But that was definitely not his fault. Diaz's brother Julio has a couple losses, but he's past his prime and they were close fights.

I'm not sold on Angel Garcia. He's another Virgil Hunter. He won't be able to repeat the success with a different fighter.

Didn't Senior tell Bey to go after Molina because he 'was ready to go' and then. Bey got ktfo? Bey was up and clearly, why would Floyd tell him to go for the KO? That's bad coaching.

The only thing about Sr. is that It would be kind of a slap in the face to give him the award, especially since Roger never won the award. Roger has been in Floyd's corner since the beginning of his pro career.
