Dude see there goes that telltale "He looked great against a crap fighter" it sets the entire precedent to not even discuss this with you...who are you to call Rios crap? You are watching himmmmmm fight...I never understand that about folks. You are the viewer of a savage sport with the nerve to call professional boxers crap? Rios is a warrior, that way my point. Getting into the discussion of who would beat him or lose to him is completely a mute point after that.

    1. You have noooo idea what I would do or wouldn't do...
    2. He's not the first and the last....
    3. Ortiz does not have the mental fortitude to win a fight in which his opponent is discouraging and shattering his confidence..this has been discussed by every single analyst in the sport..google it.
    4. Rios hits a hell of a lot harder than Lopez...let's just keep that in mind.

What is Jrs excuse these days, or hey, right NOW for Ducking PAC
Yep destroys. It goes to a 12 round wipe out or a late tko. If you're impressed with this win you're in for a big let down near the future.

Had his jaw broke by someone he was dominating. Someone that is a lot faster and more active than a plodding Rios. No one should expect a man to keep going with a broken jaw. He made it to his corner and said enough was enough. That's completely justifiable. If heart is hat you rely on to win it means you have absolutely no skill.

          • I think Manny is close enough to his former self. Don't forget Rios is a prime fighter coming it at 159lbs, who eats shots from bigger guys and just because Manny couldn't drop him tonight doesn't mean he can no longer pull the trigger.
They had a good approach tonight, offensive minded but not all out and cautious for the potential damage that Bam2x could have inflicted on him. Less risks means a little less excitement in the fight but it allows them to get back into the groove of things as well as get back their confidence after getting KTFO by JMM.

I don't care who he fights next, I hope he chooses to fight soon though, something like March and set up a 3 fight year to make up for his inactivity for this year.

This fight tonight does nothing but proves where Rios really belong. Manny was sparring and having fun and that was good to see, but c'mon, if Manny were able to beat Floyd at any time, this fight doesn't change that, and if he weren't able to beat Floyd at any time, then this fight still doesn't change that.

Manny's problem was never a Rios's type fighter, however, his problem has always been a Bradley/Marquez/Mayweather type of fighters. Fighters who are highly technical.
Even though they say it wasn't a tune up, it was a good tune up considering the amount of fights Pac has been in.

His problem is that against Elite well he's against elite. Bradley couldn't even outbox Manny and Marquez..well they fought 3 times prior to that devastating KO, Mayweather fight still and always will be intriguing but I think Pac has definitely slowed down more.

I think Pac boxing more could be a very good thing for him.

Lopez does not hit harder than Rios you can stop that nonsense right now..it takes heart, determination, and skill. You lack one of the three you'll win some fights and then you'll go the way of Amir Khan and Victor Ortiz...I like Ortiz just like I liked Berto but both men suffer from the same mental lapse when it's not going their way.

I can agree with this, it's a logical and factual argument.

The win against Rios just shows that Manny has something left in the tank and is still good. Those of us who are objective see this, and it's not like the result tonight was any kind of surprise. Rios is actually tougher than I thought, but I didn't think he had a real chance unless Manny just started to suck all of a sudden. The Marquez fight, stuff like that just happens. It doesn't mean Manny's going to fold as soon as he gets hit. He's a really tough guy, and is one of the pound-for-pound best for a reason.

However, good technical fighters always give him problems. He used to just blow through a lot of them, but he isn't a perfect boxer and guys like who megas mentioned give him problems due to some of the skills they possess.

OMG are you serious. If you had any brains you would know I mean Rios is crap in comparison to other Championship level fighters.

And you say that ^ after slagging off Ortiz? Your ****** man, plain ****ing ******.

And how does Rios hit harder? Who has he beat? When has he knocked someone out with one punch? Rios has always been a beat you down sort of fighter.

Just stop, your trying to look smart and just making a fool of yourself
