If Rios was 159 tonight what you think he weighs the months he isn't fighting? Alvarado should be at 154 closer to his 165 weight but he ain't got the pop for that division. There's a ton of these guys who weigh god knows what and fight guys at 140 or 147..you aren't going to stop them everytime but a natural 147/140 is going to have issue with them..did you see Ruslan tonight dude looked like a linebacker at his full weight.
What about Thurman,Maidana, Alexander, Brook? They would beat Rios worse than Pac did. He looked great against a crap fighter that lost every round to Abril. That got outboxed by Alvarado, who got outboxed by Prescott and had to score a come from behind stoppage. Murray was hitting Rios as easy as Pac was. Rios is a glorified journeyman.

Well.... you have to consider that they are still living in caves...... Basement caves, but still with the cave mentality. You know..the heavily sloping foreheads, shambling walk and arms dangling to below the knees.... So cannibalising comes easy to them, without salt too..

      What can you expect...???

it wasn't like that at all, Cotto just couldnt with stand getting beat down so he took a knee and called it a day. Rios is a tough SOB to take a beating like that, Pacman made sure his ass was moving a whole lot more because he Knew Rios could hurt him bad.

              • Don't get burn.

Pacquiao look good tonight, he look like a machine. Like I say I am a Mayweather fan but I see Broner fighting Pacquiao first. Stay out the fire Broner.

                  • Why the heck would Manny take unnecessary risks just to get knocked out and satisfy some of you who hate him for whatever reason?

Manny fought the perfect fight tonight. He hurt Rios on numerous occasions, and did not receive any unnecessary punishment aside from a few grazing shots to the head and a couple of hard body shots. Rios looked terrible, had no answer and was just to slow to mount any kind of relevant attack to give Pacquiao a real challenge.

Rios was beat up, plain and simple. I thought that Pacquaio could have dropped him if he wanted to, but as the fight unfolded I did see that Rios might be able to pull the trigger if Manny got careless.

What I take away from this fight is that Manny is back, although he's a different Manny now than what he used to be. He is still a pound-for-pound guy but he's a more cautious reserved fighter than in the past. I cannot fault him for anything he did tonight, as it will lead to a longer career and less risk of getting hurt.

Solid win for Pacquiao, it was what he needed.

Ortiz lol..Ortiz that got stopped by Josesito Lopez..Quit on his stool Ortiz...talent ain't everything cuz...Ortiz ain't got no heart!! In your dreams Ortiz lasts twelve rounds against this kid...I dislike Rios personally but give him props for what he is..if you aren't strong willed after a few rounds he'll mess with your mind as to why i'm unloading and the kid still walking forward...exactly the type of nightmare Ortiz needs to avoid.
