Rios is a Vato LOco Cabrones

Miguel Cotto fought Manny Pacquiao at his best not this faded sensitive version of Pacquiao. Plus, Miguel Cotto left Pacquiao looking like a mummy after the fight

Manny fought the perfect fight tonight. He hurt Rios on numerous occasions, and did not receive any unnecessary punishment aside from a few grazing shots to the head and a couple of hard body shots. Rios looked terrible, had no answer and was just to slow to mount any kind of relevant attack to give Pacquiao a real challenge.

Rios was beat up, plain and simple. I thought that Pacquaio could have dropped him if he wanted to, but as the fight unfolded I did see that Rios might be able to pull the trigger if Manny got careless.

What I take away from this fight is that Manny is back, although he's a different Manny now than what he used to be. He is still a pound-for-pound guy but he's a more cautious reserved fighter than in the past. I cannot fault him for anything he did tonight, as it will lead to a longer career and less risk of getting hurt.

Solid win for Pacquiao, it was what he needed.
      Completely agree.

        • I am saddened by what i am reading here. No doubt Manny put on an inspired performance, but when does beating Rios helps Manny's case against Floyd? This fight tonight does nothing but proves where Rios really belong. Manny was sparring and having fun and that was good to see, but c'mon, if Manny were able to beat Floyd at any time, this fight doesn't change that, and if he weren't able to beat Floyd at any time, then this fight still doesn't change that.

Manny's problem was never a Rios's type fighter, however, his problem has always been a Bradley/Marquez/Mayweather type of fighters. Fighters who are highly technical.

          • Brilliant display of pugilism by Manny tonight. I really would have loved to see him put Rios on his azz but the humility he put forth coupled with proving Rios to be nothing more than an inferior toy punching bag will deliver more insult and injury to the entire Garcia camp...Rios, Robert and Ariza. Cong**** to Manny and especially to Freddie. They got exactly what they had coming....Rios got exposed, schooled and spanked Garcia eats his words whole and Ariza cringes with embarrassment. In short.....THEY LOST! Can't wait to hear the lame justifying comments that come out of their camp in the next few days. Should make for some good comedy.

            • Manny was every bit as good as when he fought Oscar. Just perfect.

At 34, Manny's hand speed was phenomenal. The combos he sneaked in were blurrish. It took one second for Rios' head to snap back 2 ways.

This seasoned Manny will give Floyd a terrible headache.

Rios on the other hand did not quite look like Margarito. He looked more like a combo of Clottey and David Diaz. He just got overwhelmed.

He sure would, Rios is lucky he's in the same camp with Mikey Garcia!!! Terrence Crawford would beat Rios too.

                  • I saw some hesitation in Pac tonight which I think is a good thing, he didn't go for the kill and instead opted to keep boxing. Great work tonight, I think 2 more fights for Pac and hang it up...Bradley rematch and we all know the last one and it's not Marquez.
