Pretty much. I have complained about early stoppages in the past, but it was out of ignorance on my part and I don't think I'll ever complain about an early stoppage again.
You know what, I completely agree with your sentiments.
To be honest, I use to harbor hate towards certain referees (especially Joe Cortez) for premature stoppages. But, they see what we don't see from our couches. Thus safety before entertainment.
Let's see throwing a pitch in front of 20,000 people, waving and going home. Or shaking hands, talking to, taking pics with people...which is considered mixing it up? As i've stated before the man is more comfortable within his tight group..he didn't bother to visit his second biggest pocket of fans in Jersey (little cuba)..he turned down the largest hispanic sports telecast in america for a guest spot on their sunday show...and the list goes on. I love Rigo and he's got a hell of a story to tell but he just won't tell it...that's the sum of it all.
