I'm sorry but Zavek and Quintana aren't that good of wins. Maybe 4 years ago they would be. I'm not denying that he has power but I think people think he's a bigger puncher than he is. Soto Karass fights to win he won't just bow out once he tastes Thurman's power like Quintana or Zavek. That's the point I was trying to make and it's something Paulie Malignaggi brought up when Thurman called him out after his fight with Zavek. He's like most Haymen fighters he's been brought along easily. This is his first real test.

Soto-Karass is one of those guys that you want to see win, but I don't think he has enough power to complement his pressure. Thurman is probably gonna counter him to death.

You must have missed the Diego Chaves fight!

I meant Golovkin not Provodnikov. I keep interchanging these guys' names. :-)

I see Thurman beating the brakes off of Soto Karass. I like Karass but I don't think he's in the same league as Thurman. Soto Karass got lucky Berto blew out his arm because he would have lost that fight too. But I still give Karass credit he's a tough SOB at least he manned up and faced Thurman unlike Guerrero.

Yea in some alternate dimension. There's a reason nobody stepped up to fight Thurman. I can't honestly assess Soto-Karass since he fought a one armed man and was still getting hit clean and the fight went 12 rounds. This will be a war and wont make it to the end of the 12th. Thurman by stoppage but Soto-Karass will get his share in for sure.

Karass is underrated, hes improved a lot. I think he gives Thurman a real stiff test. Sheer guts, granite chin, unbelievable workrate, relentless bodypuncher.

I am not convinced Thurmans power is quite what others seem to. Good puncher make no mistake about it but hes not the one punch knockout artist hes being made out to be.

Largely untested, was down before against a very light hitting journeyman.

I've seen Karass fight similar opposition, bigger opposition in say a Rosado. I know with Karass what I am going to get I can't say the same for Thurman. He has fought stiffs & heavily faded opposition who haven't made a go of it. Hows he going to handle Karass's size, length, output?
Not sure why Diego Chaves is apparently a great fighter all of a sudden either. I thought he was crude as hell & awfully limited and a bit brittle myself.

Karass is going to provide a lot of answers.

Karass's wide punches are a concern and all you have to do is look at the tread. Karass has taken a HUGE, HUGE amount of punishment in his career and Thurman is fresh and hasn't taken 1/10 the punishment. I don't see Karass winning but it would not shock me if he did because he is relentless even when he is being beaten up.
